I have been watching Ugly Betty for the past 3 weeks.  Although I don't find it a spectacular TV series, I watch it because I can relate to the main character, Betty.  She is naive, tries her best to help whoever needs it, isn't judgmental, and is incredibly kind.  I would say that I am the first two and a half things...lol.

Anyways, below is a quote from the series that I can totally relate to at this point of my life.

"I've had to say goodbye more times that I would have liked, but everyone can say that.  And no matter how many times we do it, even when it's for the greater good, it still stinks.  And though we'll never forget what we've given up, we owe it to ourselves to keep moving forward.  What we can't do is live our lives always afraid of the next goodbye, because chances are, they're not gonna stop.  The trick is to recognize when goodbye can be a good thing - when it's a chance to start again."

I have to remind myself that even though I recently lost someone I had loved unconditionally, I have to believe that there is something out there for me.  Some future I could never have dreamed of.

Just taking it one day at a time, and remembering to be grateful for every day and for what I have.  Carolyn, you are blessed!!!
